Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has broken her silence following allegations made by the younger brother of late Yoruba actress and filmmaker Allwell Ademola, who recently accused some movie industry colleagues of neglecting his sister while she was alive.

The controversy erupted after the bereaved brother publicly criticized several celebrities, claiming they only began posting condolence messages after Allwell Ademola’s death, despite allegedly failing to support her during her lifetime.

In a heartfelt response, Iyabo Ojo rejected the claims as unfair and misleading, insisting that she actively supported the late actress both professionally and personally.

The actress emphasized that her relationship with the late Allwell Ademola went beyond public social media posts, suggesting that genuine support does not always require online validation.

Tributes Amid Tension

Despite the controversy, Iyabo Ojo offered prayers for the deceased, expressing grief over the loss.

As of the time of this report, Lateef Adedimeji has not publicly responded to the claims.

Social Media Reactions Split

Reactions across social media platforms have been sharply divided. While some users sympathized with the grieving brother and argued that celebrities should be more supportive while colleagues are alive, others defended Iyabo Ojo, noting her long-standing involvement in several Yoruba movie productions and her reputation for supporting fellow actors behind the scenes.
