OSUN 2018 RERUN ELECTION: INEC declares Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola winner – SEE FULL RESULTS

The candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola has been declared winner of the Osun State governorship election.

Oyetola defeated his closest rival, Senator Ademola Adeleke of the PDP  by 482 votes.

DETAILS OF VOTES CAST
SEPTEMBER 22, 2018 RESULT

APC – 254,345
PDP – 254,698

Mr. Dele Adeleke on behalf of PDP pointed out to INEC that the issues raised in the last election has not been sorted out.
APC agent said the first results as announced by the INEC as signed by all party agents stand. Any argument should be treated at the Tribunal.
INEC Returning Officer said “Mr. Dele Adeleke, we need to follow procedures. The results have been signed by all party agents”.
It was agreed that the rerun elections result should be announced.

PDP agent said PDP agents and voters were chased away but APC agent countered it that if there is anyone chased away PDP would not have had 165.

OROLU LGA WARD A UNIT 1 AND 4 WARD 9 – UNIT 3

APC – 280
PDP – 122
Rejected – 8

PDP agent, our party agents were attacked, reporters were detained.
INEC said there was no reported cases of violence.

PDP Agent queries the Returning Officer that inec made errors in the two Units. Many were hospitalized including a pregnant woman. INEC said he is hearing the news for the first time.

Adesoji Adeleke said he has his party agent without any report of any violence.
