A 65-year-old Celestial Church of Christ Pastor, Most Sup. Evang. (Pro). Omotayo Valentine Akingbesote has been alleged of killing a 19-year-old girl, identified as Loveth, at Igunshin in Ondo West local government area of Ondo State.

It was gathered that Loveth reportedly died after the pastor gave her a drug known as Largactil to use in order to live long and prosper in life.

The deceased was said to have approached the pastor to give her something that would give her longevity and prosperity. But since she took the drug the pastor gave her, she was on sick bed till she gave up the ghost.

Speaking with newsmen, a source, who claimed Loveth narrated what transpired between her and the man of God said, ” Loveth said she went to the church for the first time to pray for long life and to have a good job, so that she could take care of her siblings because she didn’t want to die young like her mother.”

She said as she was praying, the wife of the pastor came to meet her and said daddy was not at home now, and that she would inform him she visited the church.

The Source Quoted Loveth As Saying,

“On that same day, the pastor sent for me because my house is a pole away from the church and he prayed for me and asked me to come the following day.

“The next day, I went to the church to see the pastor and he gave me the drug called “Largactil,” to use. He said he had already prayed on it, so that I can make it in life. I collected it and used it there. But later I noticed that I did not have strength again.

“He took me to where there is a bed and laid me on it and removed my underwear. I saw him doing all that, but I could not do anything because I was so weak.

“Thereafter, he took me to the road that leads to my house. He left me there. But I managed to get home. I only knew I used to wake up, eat and sleep again for four days.

“After I finally came out of drowsiness on the forth day, one white thing covered my eyes and I could not see. Since then, I have not been myself.”

However, it was gathered that the pastor was arrested by the Igunshin police, while the case was transferred to Enu-Owa for interrogation two years ago.

According to the police, the pastor confessed that he gave the deceased the drug, Lagatine. But he claimed he did not know the milligrams given to her.

The suspect was said to have promised to take care of the girl, but reneged his promises till the girl (Lovett) gave up the ghost in June, 2022.

It was learnt that the pastor took her corpse to the General hospital morgue in Ondo, and abandoned it there since then.

The pastor was no where to be found when our correspondent and other journalists visited Igunshin to hear his own side of the story and why he did not inform the deceased’s parent that he had taken the girl’s corpse to the morgue.

But the pastor who spoke with Newsmen on phone, did not deny that he took Loveth’s corpse to the morgue in Ondo and left it there.

HE SAID,

”I had an accident about three weeks now. That’s why I have not made any move to look for her parents to tell them that their daughter is dead since June last year. And I did not know where the deceased’s father lives in Igunshin area.

“The reason I did not take her to the hospital is that the cause of her illness was spiritual. That is why I took her to another pastor to take care of her. As I promised at the police station, I took care of her till she gave up the ghost last year June.
