LAGOS: Okada Riders to face toughest times ever as Sanwoolu unveils new policy

All Okada Riders in Lagos State are to face the toughest times of their lives as the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwoolu has put everything in place to replace Okadas with “Last Mile Buses” in the city.

The decision to put all Okadas into extinction in Lagos was as a result of increasing crime rates and recent leaked secret plans of Boko Haram terrorists to attack Lagos as revealed by the United States.

In a security stakeholders meeting held in Lagos, it was decided that Okadas needed to be replaced to reduce crime rates in the economic nerve centre of Nigeria.

In his Official Twitter Page available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, Sanwoolu said,

“Today, at a stakeholders’ meeting on security which included religious leaders, military chiefs, traditional and community leaders, students, unionists and members of the State Executive Council, we got the support of Lagosians to tackle all security challenges in the state.

“The issue of the unruly behaviour of Okada riders is a major concern and we are determined to deal with this with the strong arm of the Law.”

“We are introducing First and Last Mile buses next week, which will ply the routes the motorcycles are plying.”

“To make the state more secure, we will fully implement the State’s Urban and Regional Planning and Development Law of 2019 which will enable us demolish abandoned buildings and construction sites being used as a safe haven for hoodlums and miscreants.”

“Lagos MUST continue to enjoy an atmosphere of peace, safety and all-encompassing security.

We are determined to arrest the security challenges being faced in the State and we will take EVERY step necessary to deliver on our promises of a safe, secure and livable state.”
