Makinde Backs Hon Tunde Olatunji As Speaker Of Osun House Of Assembly

Former House of Respresentative memeber and the Chairman of Oodua FM, Ile-Ife, Hon Rotimi Makinde has backed a member of the State of Osun, Hon. Tunde Olatunji for the position of the Speaker of the state House of Assembly.

Honourable Tunde Olatunji indicated his intention to vie for the position of speakership in the next state assembly.

Hon Makinde described Hon Olatunji as a rare breed politician who is eminently qualified to receive the collective blessings of Ife sons and daughters to vie for the exalted position of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly.

It would be recalled that Hon Olatunji and Hon Rotimi Makinde both served as Chairman and secretary respectively of Oyetola for governor in Ife Federal Constituency and it is on record that they performed creditably to deliver the zone.
It is glaring that the battle is within the All Progressives Congress (APC) that has majority of members as recorded in the last election and so, it’s going to be more of a family affair.

“I am conscious of the fact that the party decision is going to be the final verdict on this mater. But for whatever the contest for the House leadership is worth, thinking in the direction of Ife Federal Constituency axis will be more meaningful to make our people in this zone happier and have a great sense of belonging”, the former House of Representatives member said.

Rotimi Makinde wishes Honourable Olatunji the best of luck in his aspiration, adding that his wining will not only make the state proud but drives further development to the state of Osun.
