MAY GOD BLESS THE YORUBAS

OPINION: – Cham Faliya Sharon

Throughout Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s 6 years reign of terror, plunder and anguish, there was not a single Yoruba man or woman occupying any of Nigeria’s top six leadership positions viz President, Vice President, Senate President, Speaker, Chief Justice (CJN) and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF)…. They were completely marginalized in the worst possible way as if they were no longer part of the 3 major tribes of Nigeria (Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo)! Even common Deputy Senate President and Deputy Speaker was denied them!
But in spite of that, they kept their cool. They never formed any Wailing Wailers Club, and neither did they form any terrorist group like IPOB to agitate for some fictitious and mischievous republic based on some wailing about marginalisation!
What they did was to form a political coalition or political alliance to ouster and dislodged their ever marginalized government of Jonathan.
Imagine the annoying fact that we just came out of an Igbo administration just 2 years ago with an Igbo President (GEJ); Igbo SGF (Anyim Pius Anyim); Igbo Deputy Senate President (Ekweremadu); Igbo Deputy Speaker (Emeka Ihedioha); Igbo CBN Governor, and Igbos in total control of all the federal financial institutions, and yet we have every mischievous Igbo elite lying and misleading the gullible that the Igbo are currently marginalized to the point of setting up a terrorist organization to destabilize an administration they ardently and stridently worked against its emergence! This intolerance and mischief is legendary!
We must applaud the Yoruba, and deservedly so.
