Missing Dadiyata – A former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to a former Zamfara State Governor, Mr. Muhammad Musa, has allegedly made fresh claims about the disappearance of popular activist and blogger, Abubakar Idris Dadiyata.
Dadiyata disappeared in August 2019. Since then, his family and supporters have continued to demand answers from authorities.
According to a Facebook post reportedly shared by Musa, the missing activist was allegedly killed in his presence.
Musa claimed that two police officers identified as CSP Hussani Gimba and CSP Hassan Gimba carried out the act in Kaduna State.
The officers were also said to be attached to Operation Yaki.
In the post, Musa reportedly wrote:
“Dadiyata was killed in my presence by CSP Hussani Gimba and CSP Hassan Gimba of Operation Yaki in Kaduna.”
However, Musa did not provide evidence to support the allegation. In addition, security agencies have not officially responded to the claim.
Meanwhile, the allegation has sparked fresh reactions on social media. Many Nigerians are now calling for an independent investigation.
Some activists also renewed demands for justice over Dadiyata’s disappearance.
One social media user said:
“If this claim is true, then Nigerians deserve the truth. The family of Dadiyata has waited too long for justice.”
Another user added:
“This matter should not be swept under the carpet. Authorities must investigate these allegations immediately.”
Although the claims remain unverified, the development has again drawn attention to the unresolved case.
As of press time, neither the Nigeria Police Force nor Operation Yaki officials had released any statement on the allegation.
SOJ WORLDWIDE will continue to monitor developments and provide updates as more details emerge.
