The Nigerian Entertainment Conference is undoubtedly one of the anticipated events in the entertainment industry.

The 2022 edition of the event held on Friday, April 29, 2022, and it was well-attended by the movers and shakers of the industry.
The event was divided into different panels that discussed issues germane to the growth of the Nigerian entertainment sector.
The Convener of the conference, Ayeni Adekunle, stated that he feels a sense of fulfillment with the growth recorded so far by Nigerian creatives.
He said,
“What we saw at the Madison Square (in New York, United States of America) where Burna Boy performed is what NECLive is all about. Our artistes are getting nominated for the Grammys, and we now have musicians and actors that are well regarded across the globe. The essence of this event is to share ideas and collaborate as we build the industry of our dream.

“A decade or two ago, our artistes could not have been headlining concerts abroad or being the main faces on Billboard Magazine.
“The dream when we started NECLive in 2013 is being lived now. What we are witnessing today in fashion, music, art and movies is still in its early days. Some of those that will make it happen are here today. The growth of our music and movie and fashion must benefit the local economy.”
Meanwhile, one of the highpoints of the event was a segment created for the late singer, Lanre Fasasi, aka Sound Sultan, where his protégés and friends paid tributes to him.
His close ally, 2baba, could evidently not control his emotions as he broke down in tears while performing a song dedicated to the late singer.
