NUJ, OSBC Chapel honours Olowu of Owu-Kuta as LIFE PATRON in a colourful event

The Nigerian Union of Journalists (OSBC CHAPEL) on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 honoured Olowu of Owu-Kuta, HRM Oba Oyelude Adekunle Makama (Tegbosun III) as the Life Patron of the union at a colourful event at Ile-Awiye, Oke-Baale, Osogbo.

In his speech, the Chairman of OSBC NUJ Chapel Mr Tunde Adeyemo described Oba Oyelude Adekunle Makama as extra-ordinary Royal Father who has touched so many lives with his kind gesture towards the people.

The love he showered on Journalists, his supportive roles on security in Osun State in particular and Nigeria in general was among the reasons the chapel bestowed on him the Life Patron of the union in order to recognize his contributions and fanaticism towards journalists in the State and Nigeria at large.

He urged the royal father not to relent in doing good and in giving helping hand to all the people around him.

“We found in Kabiyesi, the Permanent Chairman of the Supreme Council of Owu Obas; the Olowu of Owu-Kuta, Oba Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama, Tegboosun the third, a father, a leading Nigerian monarch and a positive expansionist, who share our vision; especially the legacy bequeath to us by our past and present leaders.

His quest for expansion in knowledge, his accommodative posture, his journalistic instinct, his leadership acumen, his listening ability coupled with his unbiased copious and liberal transformative mechanisms as well as his penchant for a country where tranquility reigns supreme through the first, the second, the third and the fourth estate of the realm, culminated in our gathering today.”

Oba Oyelude appreciated the NUJ OSBC Chapel for the honour bestowed on him with the Life Patron Award, he promised to continue what he knows how to do best and will never be deterred in helping the people and given his support to journalists in the state and Nigerian.

Many dignitaries graced the elaborate event. Among those who graced the occasion are: Osun State Governor who was represented by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Hon Ismail Omipidan, Osun State Commissioner for Information and Innovation, Mrs Funke Egbeyode. Royal Father within and outside Osun State, political bigwigs, Former Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai was ably represented, Chairman ILERI-OLUWA Next Level Progressives Movement (INLPM) Chairman, Chief Owoeye Samuel Abiodun (OSA), members and other political groups.
