ONE of the frontline governorship aspirants under the banner of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo State, Prince Diran Iyantan has mourned the untimely and sudden death of a fellow aspirant in the race, Dr. Paul Akintelure in the early hours of Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
In a Press Release signed by the Media & Advisor of Diran Iyantan Campaign Organization, Steve Joseph available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, Prince Iyantan noted that the death of Akintelure came as a rude shock to him and all.
He called on all other aspirants to close ranks, prioritize their safety and sign a Peace Pact for a hitch free election. He also condole with the family of the bereaved to take solace in Almighty God for the irreparable loss of Paul Akintelure and stay strong, for, he has been with his maker as a devoted Christian.
“It is with a heavy heart that we, the Diran Iyantan campaign organization, heard of the sudden and tragic death of our fellow APC governorship aspirant, Dr. Paul Akintelure. This news has come as a great shock to us all, especially to Prince Diran Iyantan, who was a close ally and friend of Dr. Paul Akintelure.
Dr. Paul Akintelure was not just a fellow aspirant, but a respected and beloved figure in our community. His dedication to the progress and development of Ondo State, particularly Ikale-land, was evident in all his actions and words. His untimely passing is a great loss to us all.
We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, children, and loved ones during this difficult time.
We urge them to stay strong and take comfort in the fact that Dr. Paul Akintelure was a devoted Christian who has now gone to meet his maker.

It is troubling to note that Dr. Paul Akintelure had expressed concerns about his safety in the days leading up to his death. In light of this tragic event, we urge all aspirants in Ondo State to prioritize their safety and come together to sign a peace pact to ensure a peaceful and violence-free primary election.
