The Esa Odo Youth Alliance has strongly condemned Hon. Mayowa Adejorin, Osun State Commissioner for Environment and Sanitation, over what the group described as deliberate misinformation during his recent interview on Rave FM. The group accused the commissioner of misleading the public about the state of infrastructure in Esa Odo, particularly the condition of the community road.

In the interview, Hon. Adejorin reportedly claimed that the Esa Odo Road had been tarred under the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, a statement the youth group called “a blatant lie” and a desperate attempt to mask the failures of the state government.

The Alliance expressed deep disappointment, noting that the reality on ground in Esa Odo starkly contradicts the commissioner’s claims. According to them, the road remains in a deplorable state, with no visible sign of recent construction or rehabilitation by the current administration.

The commissioner is clearly using our community as a political smokescreen to launder the image of a non-performing government,” the statement read. “It is both insulting and embarrassing that an appointed public officer would stoop so low as to tell outright lies to the public.”

Describing the interview as a “show of shame,” the group maintained that Hon. Adejorin’s utterances are not only misleading but also disgraceful to the people of Obokun Local Government. They emphasized that such conduct undermines public trust and ridicules the very essence of leadership and accountability.

The Esa Odo Youth Alliance further accused Hon. Adejorin of betraying the trust of the people who expected better representation from him. “Rather than advocating for development in his constituency, he has chosen to deceive the people with fabricated achievements,” the group lamented.
