OSUN Police apprehends three burglars with stolen varieties of food worth N.85m

The Crack team of Osun Police Command have arrested three burglars, Muideen Osikoya Azeez, Paul Azeez and Lukman Olakunle Olayanju with varieties of food stolen from a shop at Ilishan, Osun State.

The thieves were heading to Ikorodu where they planned to sell the goods to buyers at ridiculous prizes.

Two of the suspects, Paul Azeez and Muideen Osikoya Azeez left Ikorodu to join their accomplice, Lukman Olakunle Olayanju who doubles as a Herbalist to bugle the shop belonging to a middle aged woman at Ilishan.

In a Press Release by the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), SP Olawoyin Yemisi Opalola made available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, http://www.sojworldnews.com she said the suspects will face the consequences of their actions in court of law.

“On 26th October, 2021 at about 0600hrs, the duo of Muideen Osikoya Azeez and Paul Azeez left Ikorodu, Lagos State to meet one Lukman Olakunle at Inisha, Osun State who took them to a shop/store located at Oke-Ogun street, Inisha which was loaded with different type of varieties such as Vegetable oil, Semovita, Tomato paste, curry and thyme etc. Subsequently, on 27th October, 2021 at about 0100hrs, both Muideen Osikoya Azeez and Paul Azeez burgled the shop and carted away the aforementioned items valued Eight hundred and fifty thousand naira (N850, 000.00).

The suspects having succeeded in burgling the shop at Inisha, were arrested at Osogbo, Osun State on the same date at about 0300hrs with one Golf car with Reg. N o. EKY 762 GP belonging to Muideen Osikoya Azeez on their way to Ikorodu, Lagos State where they wanted to go and sell the stolen goods to unsuspecting individuals/buyers. Moreso, their pointer Lukman Olakunle Olayanju, a native of Inisha, Osun State who doubles as their herbalist was tracked and apprehended at Inisha. The suspects confessed to the alleged crime in their various statements and they will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.”
