The Chief Press Secretary to the Osun State Governor, Mr Ismail Omipidan at the Second Edition of Media Parley of the Osun Online Media Practitioners Association (OOMPA) said there is no any form of divisions in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun.
Although, Omipidan who said he can only speak for his principal, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola who believes only in facts and figures, a man who will only say what he can do, a gentleman to the core and a man of integrity.
When told there is currently a faction in Osun APC with the emergence of The Osun Progressives (TOP) although both Governor Oyetola and Aregbesola camps are denying any divisions or rifts exist but from the grassroots, the media know there are two camps in the party and in order not to repeat Edo State episode, what would be his comments?
Omipidan said, “…I want to believe, if what you are saying is correct, in the past three years the state would have been watered than we have today. You know it takes two to tango, if you want to fight me and I refused to make myself available to fight nothing would happen.”
Fight can only happen if I make myself available to fight. Let me take it this way, there are some politicians who benefits from political war. And these politicians include those who have no electoral values, they will do everything to make it look like that there is problem but if you look deeply you will know that nothing is happening.
For me, that is the way I would describe what is happening.”
In another development, when asked how much has Oyetola borrowed to prosecute all the projects he has been executing since assumption of office, Omipidan said his Principal has not borrowed a Kobo to prosecute any project.
He went further that he is not saying to borrow is bad but Oyetola being a prudent manager he has been able to manage men and resources without overstepping his limits. Although, people are wondering how he has been able to manage the resources of the state without borrowing.
