The National Chairman of Labour Party, Julius Abure has revealed some of the challenges the party has been facing since it came into political limelight ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Speaking about the challenges the party has been having on Democracy Today, Mr Abure said, “the challenges we are going through is even worse now. Both PDP and APC see Labour Party as a threat, therefore we have become their soft targets. We have become the object of attack.

In Lagos, they are attacking some of our people, they are going to identify people in their houses, harassing them, kidnapping some of them and bringing them back after threatening them not to vote for Labour Party. This what we’ve been going through.

In some places, they’ve refused to allow us have access to billboards. In some states, we pay upfront but as at today, the contractors are begging us that we should come and take our money that the government has instructed that we should not be given those billboards.”
