To make his point, he shared personal accounts. He said he has noticed that tyres burst when a non-tither drives him. According to him, it happened in three cases, and all three drivers did not pay tithe. In one case, he said he told his driver that this was why two tyres burst.

He also described hiring a new driver for his Rolls-Royce. Two tyres burst on a drive from the airport, he said. Afterwards, he asked for the new driver’s record to be checked. The clip does not show the outcome.

Ibiyeomie urged Christians to pay what he called correct tithe. He said it is not a matter of paying as one likes. He also said not every attack is the devil’s work. Therefore, he advised believers to pay their tithe fully instead of blaming others for their troubles.

Tithing is a regular theme in his sermons. Earlier clips, in which he called tithe a foundation covenant, drew wide reaction online. Meanwhile, Christians hold different views on the subject. Some believers and preachers question whether tithe is required of Christians today.
