Some residents alleged that help arrived too late after distress calls.

Police said tactical units and army personnel were deployed to the area. Commissioner of Police Edwin Ogbeghagha directed officers to sustain coordinated operations and arrest those responsible. The residents’ figures are unverified and may change as the search for missing people continues. Sojworldnews will update this report as more details emerge.
