First casualty recorded in Osun, as PDP chieftain, Hon Jide Jooba was shot dead in Ikire, Osun State.

According to reports, suspected political thugs killed Jide, who was the returning local government officer for his party in the present governorship race.
Although Adeleke waa in the lead, the votes are still being counted when he was shot dead on Saturday.
