Police Arrests Two Suspected Kidnappers In Jigawa, Rescue Victim

Muhammed Sama’ila, 45, was freed from Nisan Marke village in Ringim local government by Jigawa State police after they detained two alleged kidnappers.

The arrest was verified in a statement released by the command’s spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam.

He said the arrest was based on an intelligent report that, a 45 year old man Muhammad Sama’ila of Madari village, Warawa LGA, Kano State was seen motion less with machete cuts all over his body.

Shiisu said on receiving the information, a team of policemen swung into action, visited the scene of crime and conveyed the victim to hospital.

He explained that the victim revealed that he was kidnapped from Madari Village in Warawa LGA of Kano State and taken to Nisan Marke herdsmen settlement.

Shiisu said the police, in conjunction with a local vigilante group, raided the suspected kidnapper’s hideout at Nissan Marke herdsmen settlement in Ringim LGA, and arrested two suspected kidnappers.

Those arrested were Abdurrazaq Musa and Hassan a Jimau at Herdsmen Settlement in Ringim Local Government.

He said the suspects confessed to have abducted the victim with eight other gang members now at-large

Police spokesman said the case is under investigation and effort is on top gear to trace their accomplices.
