IT was a thug of war at the Moniya area of Ibadan, Oyo State on Tuesday and Wednesday morning between the Policemen and Internet Fraudsters popularly known as Yahoo Boys.
According to a source who told SOJ WORLDWIDE on condition of anonymity, the trouble started on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 when the Police slugged it out with the Yahoo Boys with two casualties recorded, an elderly man who allegedly died from stray bullet and a policeman.
Micra Taxi Drivers woke up to see nine of their cars badly destroyed by yet to be confirmed attackers but the Drivers claimed the windscreens and side glasses of their cars were destroyed by policemen who came to avenge the death of their colleague.

The founder of Agidigbo FM, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat was at the scene of the incident. He was told by the drivers that the attackers came to their Park to destroy the source of their incomes bought on Hire Purchase arrangements and they are not party to the crisis.
They wondered why they had to suffer the consequences of Yahoo Boys.
The man allegedly killed by a stray bullet was the breadwinner of the family. The family of the deceased claimed that the Police at Moniya refused to release the corpse of the dead for burial.
