Elugbemi your early morning alarm bells regarding Hon. Oluwole Oke’s supposed “ghost endorsements,” edited and amplified by one Isaac Olusesi, ring loud but perhaps a bit too soon and, dare I say, quite misplaced. It appears you’ve confused the deliberate strategy of political engagement with the chaos of unmeasured agitation, rushing to cast aspersions before the race has even begun in earnest.
Olusesi, as someone who holds the position of Assistant Director of the Directorate of Publicity, Research & Strategy for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, your primary focus should be on articulating the strengths and vision of your own preferred aspirant.
Instead, your recent antics reflect a bitter and divisive tone targeting a fellow aspirant not for any misconduct, but simply because he dares to show interest in the senatorial seat. Might I remind you that politics is not a sprint but a marathon, and timing, maturity, and messaging are everything. Dismissing endorsements as “fake” and launching unprovoked attacks only reveals a worrisome lack of discipline and strategic foresight.

Before you leap into the fray, wielding words like weapons, consider first the value of discretion and the harm premature hostility can cause. Attacking another aspirant, especially one within your broader political family, does nothing to elevate your candidate it merely tarnishes the decorum of the political space we all seek to protect. Power is not seized by noise, but earned through dignity, patience, and the ability to build consensus rather than destroy it.
This campaign should be an opportunity for every aspirant to present their ideas, credentials, and vision not a battlefield for petty grudges and character assassination. If your candidate is truly worthy, his merits will speak louder than any coordinated smear campaign.
Resorting to mudslinging only suggests a fear of fair competition. Democracy thrives when debates are grounded in ideas, not in personal attacks driven by envy or misplaced loyalty.
We must not forget that today’s political rival could be tomorrow’s ally. By burning bridges over baseless accusations, you risk isolating not only yourself but the very cause you claim to support. It is time to rise above petty politics and begin to act with the gravitas your title demands. Let your strategies build, not break.
So, take a breath. Let the political currents flow their course. Learn to read the tides rather than stir storms prematurely. Your zeal is noted, but wisdom demands restraint and a sharper sense of timing. After all, the world and indeed the Senate does not belong to those who shout the loudest first, but to those who know when to speak, how to unite, and when to listen.
We understand that Dr. Ogungbangbe would not engage in baseless conflicts, unlike the situation Olusesi appears to be escalating, as highlighted in Elugbemi’s write-up.
Olusesi seems to be pursuing a self-serving agenda aimed at creating discord within the political family. We are confident that Prince will neither endorse nor support the approach Olusesi is taking.
Yours in political sagacity,
*Omolebi Sunday Segun Tunde SST*
