FORMER Vice Presidential Candidate in the 2019 general elections, Prof (Prince) Adesoji Masilo Adeleke on Thursday, October 16, 2025 expressed his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Joash Ojo Amupitan
In a heartfelt appreciation available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, Masilo who was also the former National Publicity Secretary, United Democratic Party (UDP) said Tinubu’s decision to appoint Prof. Amupitan is a commitment to merit and inclusivity in governance.
Masilo added that the appointment of Amupitan showed that the President is responsive to the yearnings of the people at this crucial moment of Nigeria’s political evolution.
He said the mere fact that Tinubu chose the Chairman of INEC from the Central Zone of Nigeria showed that he is a listening President.

In another development, Masilo expressed the condition of the Ibadan-Ife-Ilesa Expressway and immediate action is necessary to prevent further deterioration and potential safety hazards.
He urged Ferma to direct contractors to the site to commence immediate rehabilitation of the road ensure the road is safe and convenient for commuters.
