THE Federal Government is reviewing the list of 175 individuals granted presidential pardon by President Bola Tinubu, following public outcry over the inclusion of convicted felons, drug traffickers, and high-profile offenders.

The Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, clarified that the process is still at the final administrative stage, undergoing legal and procedural checks, and no inmate has been released yet.

  • Some of the controversial names on the list include:
  • Maryam Sanda: Sentenced to death for killing her husband, Bilyaminu Bello
  • Kelvin Prosper Oniarah: Notorious kidnap kingpin with detention camps across several states.
  • Major S. Alabi Akubo: Sentenced to life imprisonment for illegal possession of prohibited firearms.
