“Her name is Mary Daniel Onu from the Southeast, an amputee hawking Pure Water on the busy Agege-Oshodi Expressway, Lagos.
With her one leg, she manouvered through vehicles with the aid of clutch to sell pure water.
But one day, fortunes smiled on her that changed her story to GLORY that made her a celebrity that she is today.

A man, on the busy road bought water from her, after selling the water she left to sell to other buyers but this man wondered how this woman who is a mother of one is coping selling Pure Water at her highest risk on the Expressway with a leg.
He took interest in her, called to interrogate her about how she became a hawker on the busy road.
That was the beginning of her turnaround breakthroughs.

The good Samaritan posted her pictures and story on the social media where you have the good, the bad and the ugly mingled together.
This time, the good side of social media smiled at her. People from far and near started trooping in for assistance, both in cash and kind.
Mary, who was once a hawker is now a celebrity as she celebrated her birthday in a grand styles.”

But the honeymoon did not last forever for Mary whom the Lagos State Government withheld the sum of N25 earlier earmarked for her because it alleged that Mary lied about her true story.
Here in this BBC interview she confessed that her real name was not Mary. She also gave a vivid background of how she was brought up without her father whom vowed never to forgive.
