Oluwole Oke has thrown a heavy jab at the opposition, claiming the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will struggle to secure votes across Obokun, Oriade, and surrounding areas.
Speaking to his stakeholders from his constituency, Oke described the PDP’s position as “embarrassingly thin,” saying the ruling party’s grip on the grassroots is unshakable. “The PDP has lost touch with the people,” one APC loyalist said. “In many wards, they won’t just be outvoted, they may not even be represented.”

“Their problem isn’t just votes,” a party insider quipped. “It’s logistics. Who’s going to sit as their agent when half of their structure has crossed over?” Observers say the mood on the ground is clear: APC is poised to dominate, while the PDP may be forced to explain how a party that once had a foothold now struggles to form a team. “They’ll pay heavily at the polls,” the source added. “And Esa-Oke? Forget it. It’s Oke territory now.”
With momentum on their side, APC leaders believe the coming election will not just reinforce their dominance but humiliate a weakened opposition that may need more than hope to stay relevant.
