BREAKING:. Curfew in Kano as INEC declares NNPP Candidate, Kabir-Yusuf winner

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared the Governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Abba Kabir-Yusuf winner of the Kano State Governorship election.

 

 

 

 

Kabir-Yusuf was returned elected with 1,019,602 votes as he defeated his closest rival, Nasiru Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress, APC who polled 890,602 votes.

 

 

Meanwhile, the Kano State Government has imposed a dawn-to-dusk curfew to prevent breakdown of law and order following tension generated over collation and declaration of the Governorship and House of Assembly election results.
