BREAKING: With Lai Mohammed Last On The List, Senate Confirms All 43 Presidential Nominees

The Senate on Tuesday confirmed all the Presidential Ministerial Nominees with the former Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed as the last on the list.

Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun was the first Senator to speak for Alhaji Lai Mohammed followed by Senator Opeyemi Bamidele and three other Senators urging the house to allow the former spokesman of the ruling, APC to take a bow.

Senator Bamidele eulogized Alhaji Mohammed whom he said had excellent results at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigerian Law School and one other school. He was said to have Upper Credits in all the institutions of learning he attended.

Alhaji Mohammed was until now the Minister of Information and Culture who was part of the Think Tank of the Lagos State Blueprint under the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu when he was the governor of Lagos State.

Bamidele went further that the blueprint that Alhaji Mohammed was part of would still make Lagos State formidable in the next 20 years.

Alhaji Lai Mohammed in his opening speech said his real name is Lai Mohammed and that they should not mind what people call him in the Social Media. He said he always ignored it until one of his kids asked why are they calling him Lie Mohammed. He said he explained it away.

The Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawal immediately swung into action by confirming each of the nominees with the approval by the majority of the senators.

The Senate President thanked his colleagues for their steadfastness and their commitment to the nation,

“When a Minister is invited I will advise such a minister should appear for the good of the country, We are going to be firm and serious on oversight activities of the senate.” I want the ministers to cooperate with the National Assembly”

“We expected the 2020 budget to reach the chamber in September so that we can pass it within a space of time.”
