Naira to dollar rate today
The official rate gives a clear starting point. According to Aboki Forex, the Central Bank of Nigeria rate stood at ₦1,331.69 per dollar early on Tuesday. On Monday, the naira traded near ₦1,327 in the official market.
However, street rates differ by dealer and city. Aboki Forex put the black market dollar at ₦1,355. Other dealers quoted between ₦1,370 and ₦1,390.
The gap between official and street rates is now only about ₦23 on one tracker.
As a result, the premium on dollars has narrowed sharply this year. In addition, treasury yields kept falling after the central bank cut its rate by 350 basis points.
