Remi Tinubu Eid-el-Kabir palliatives – As Muslims prepare for the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, Remi Tinubu has commenced the distribution of rice and ₦1.2 billion worth of palliatives to support vulnerable Nigerians across the country.

The initiative comes ahead of the sacred Islamic festival of Eid-el-Kabir, which emphasizes sacrifice, compassion, and charity. The programme aims to ease economic pressure on households while strengthening social support systems.

Meanwhile, the First Lady’s office confirmed that the distribution targets low-income families, widows, and displaced persons. Officials said the intervention aligns with ongoing social welfare efforts under the current administration.

In her remarks, Remi Tinubu said the government remains committed to supporting citizens during festive periods. She added that the gesture reflects the spirit of unity and shared responsibility among Nigerians.

Furthermore, she stated that the initiative will reach all geopolitical zones. She also emphasized transparency and fairness in the distribution process to ensure that the intended beneficiaries receive the support.

Government representatives noted that logistics teams have already begun delivery in selected states. They assured Nigerians that the programme will continue until all allocated resources are fully distributed.
