Forgive me If I have offended you for supporting Buhari by Adesoji Omosebi

Facebook prompted this (article below) to me today, I regretted ever writing it at the time I wrote it in 2015, I never thought President Muhammadu Buhari led administration had no any plan for Nigeria and Nigerians.

But for the exposure of Facebook, this morning, I would not have known the extent of my hope in 2015 that metamorphosed into hopeless situations in 2021.

Only God knows how many innocent Nigerians would die today, many died yesterday including our security men.  We have never had it so bad. Both the led and the leaders have gone astray, it is now “to your tent O’ Israel.”.

Only God can tell of what would happen next, if it is not a natural disaster it would be a ‘man made’ disaster that is dashing our hopes daily.

They failed God and man.

It was not a sin to hope for the best but it is a sin to continue to speak for this government.

I hereby renounce all my past supports because my conscience keep bothering me if I fail to put up this writeups. I may share in the blood of innocent souls littering the grounds and the hunger pervading the land.

To all my friends who disowned me because I supported Buhari, I hereby tender my unreserved apology, please forgive me.

Everyday, I come across people we either engaged in arguments physically or on social media reminding me of what I told them in 2015 and 2019 about Buhari. They reminded me what I used to say “there was no alternative to Muhammadu Buhari.” There is no way I could engage everyone of you one after the other, I had to do this publication to spread from known to unknown to renounce my earlier support.

It was a mistake that would never repeat itself.

I have no regret for my opposition to former President Goodluck Jonathan led administration and his political party, PDP in 2015 because if they had performed well we would not have been in this mess we found ourselves today.

PDP remains a collaborator to the hopeless situations we found ourselves today.

As bad as Sodom and Gommorah was when they were about to get the wrath of God, there was a family that were unblemished. That was the house of Lot. Where homo-sexualism was the order of the day, two matured dauthers of Lot were still virgins. It looked so absurd but that was the reality. God spared Lot’s family for the sake of Lot and his daughters and integrity of the father.

I will like to single out Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN) whom I doffed my hat for for a job well done! He is a man after my heart, in spite of all hullabaloos everywhere, he is always busy working day and night giving us quality infrastructures to meet his targets.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Isagie Ehire, Audu Ogbe, Rotimi Amaechi, Abike-Dabiri, the newly appointed Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola are putting in their best.

There is possibility for the new EFCC Chairman, Bawa to raise our hopes if he can continue his aggressiveness against corrupt Nigerians.

We all know the weak-link of this administration, may we never have a better yesterday in Nigeria again!

Below is my message to Nigerians May 29, 2015 when my hope was very high hoping that we had a new dawn:

I appreciate Almighty God for counting me among the living to witness a new season, a new dawn, a new day of great expectations and hope. A day when Power Change Hands from a government we are bored and tired of to a brand new progressive government ever since Nigeria became independent in 1960.

What a great expectations and hope! APC must not and cannot afford to fail or mess up because the rough roads travelled to get to this destination had been deadly. Not all those who started this journey to the Promise Land ended it.
I give tributes to these patriots who either laid dawn their lives for true democracy to thrive in Nigeria or those who were not opportuned to see their dreams come true. Tribute to; Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief MKO Abiola, Chief Alfred Rewane, Harry Marshall, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, Chima Ubani, Beko Ransome Kuti, Dr. Tai Solarin and many others too many to be mentioned including those who were shot on the streets across the nation while protesting in the JUNE 12, 1993 struggles and others in the military who laid dawn their lives for today to become a reality.
Kudos to the political icon, a living legend, the strategist, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu who gave his all to make sure that democracy thrive in Nigeria.

Congratulations to all true change agents, the progressives, the masses who are the true change agents who toiled day and night to make sure that their votes count. This Democracy Day is hereby dedicated to all masses in every nook and cranny of Nigeria.
I pray that during the tenure of Buhari/Osinbajo Nigeria shall move from glory to glory, strength to strength and the peace of God that passeth all understanding, progress, joy that knows no bound shall be our portion. And the Lord shall restore back every good opportunities, benefits, prosperity we have ever lost to caterpillars and cankerworms, In Jesus Name.
