Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has said his administration would continue to prioritise welfare of workers, added that payment of salaries on the 25th of every month will remain sacrosanct.
Makinde gave the assurance at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasigba, Ibadan, the state capital, on the occasion of the 2023 Workers’ Day, said his second term would be better for workers and all residents of the state.
The governor, while reeling out his achievements in the first term, said that workers unalloyed support made the exploits possible.
In his remarks, TUC Chairman, Olatunbosun Olabiyi, urged all employers to respect mutual agreement and collective bargaining reached with workers, however stressed the need for workers to protect the interest of the employers.
