Gunmen attack Private University, Kidnapped unspecified numbers of students in Kaduna

Unknown gunmen have attacked a private university, Green Field University along the Kaduna-Abuka Highway in Chikun Local Government Area and kidnapped unspecified numbers of students.

The attack was carried out at about 8.30pm on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.

Kaduna Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the incident.

It was learnt gunmen invaded the university and started shooting sporadically before whisking some of the students away.

One staff of the university was said to have died in the attack.
