GUNMEN kidnap Catholic Priest in Ondo

GUNMEN have kidnapped a Catholic Priest, Rev Joseph Ajayi, along Akure-Ikere Road in Ondo State.

He was said to be travelling in his Toyota Corolla to Ilara-Mokin in Ifedore Local Government Area, close to Akure, the State Capital, where his parish is located when the incident occured.

Ondo Police spokesman, Fumilayo Odunlami, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, did not pick her calls when our correspondent sought to confirm the incident.

It was learnt the gunmen are yet to demand for any ransom as at the time of filing this report.
