A 25 year old woman has warned the Federal Court Judge in Nyanya, Abuja to separate her marriage with her husband, otherwise she would kill him one day.
The woman, Ruth Anthony was desperate for divorce before she becomes a killer.
The woman filed a case against her husband Peter yesterday asking the court to tell force him to divorce her if not she will kill him one day. She stated that the husband is a high tempered man and has been consistently beating her anytime they have small misunderstanding.
“There was a time he was beating and I ran to the kitchen and carry knife. I almost stab him in the stomach but I changed my mind and stabbed his hand but despite tha he continues beating me everyday.”
“I want this court to separate our marriage before I take his life when defending myself one day ” She stated.
But the husband has denied the allegations and urged the court to dismiss the petition as he has now changed and stopped the habit of beating her.
The Chief Judge of the court Shittu Muhammad has asked the two spouses to reconciliate themselves and fixed Thursday, January 30th 2020 as the final date for hearing the case.
