Ikirun deadly suspected bank robbers arraigned in Osogbo court

The bank robbery that led to the death of two policemen and seven other people in Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government Area in the State of Osun, and the Ministry Of Justice of the State arraigned four suspected Armed Robbers before Justice Jide Falola of the state of Osun High Court, Ikirun Judicial division, Holden at Ikirun.
The suspects, Nuhu Jimoh, Ndubisi David, Aderibigbe Oluwaseun and Ogundunmade Kayode, were charged for conspiracy, armed robbery and murder.

They were said to have robbed Skye Bank, Ikirun on February 12, 2016 and took away N13.5million.
The accused were also alleged of robbing First Bank, Ikirun on the same date and took away N26.5million.
The police alleged that the accused, during the robbery, killed Police Cpl Oyewo Sunday, Cpl Olokede Victor, Elusoji Olabode and Adeyeye Oluwafemi.
When the matter came up today, a legal aid counsel, Mrs. oluyemisi Akintajuwa, urged the court to hear the application
for bail of the second and fourth accused, David and Kayode.
She informed the court that Kayode has a mental challenge, praying the court to release him on bail for medical treatment.

The Prosecution team from Ministry of Justice led by the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Ajibola Basiru and who appeared along with Assistant Chief State Counsel, Biodun Badiora, informed the court that counsel to the first and third accused have not been coming to court, hence the delay in the hearing of the matter.

However, Mr. Ogundari, promised to represent the first and third accused person in the interest of justice.

Justice Jide Falola, adjourned the matter to Thursday November 2, 2017 for ruling on the bail application and hearing of the matter.
