Drama has ensued at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, FUOYE, Ikole Campus as a lecturer, Dr Stanley Anugwo allegedly assaulted the Head of Department, HOD, in the Department of Agricultural Economic and Farm Management, Faculty of Agriculture, Professor Dayo Apata over course allocation.
According to eyewitness account, the said lecturer forcefully set examination question for a course that was not allocated to him by the HOD after he was reported by the students for allegedly assaulting them.
The eyewitness, said Dr Stanley went ahead to prepare examination questions for the students after the HOD had allocated the course to another lecturer.
The event took a striking twist when the lecturer confronted the HOD in his office by forcefully removing his chair that landed the HOD on the floor, who fell backward and hit his head on the floor.

However, the incident led to the sudden collapse of the HOD who was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Ikole-Ekiti where they couldn’t revive him.
Speaking further, the eyewitness said that the HOD was rushed to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti, where he was revived after two hours of battling with his life.
As at the time of filing in this report, the school management are yet to issue a statement regarding the ugly incident.
