The NigeriaPolice Force (NPF) has launched an investigation into a disturbing viral video showing a woman feeding an alcoholic drink to a baby.

The footage, shared on X, formerly Twitter, by content creator Chuks Eric on Sunday, captures the unidentified woman holding a baby girl and pouring a sachet of Action Bitters, a popular alcoholic herbal drink, into the child’s mouth.

A caption overlaid on the video reads: “Every night just for her to sleep,” suggesting that the woman regularly gives the baby alcohol to induce sleep.

However, it remains unclear whether the child is her biological daughter.
