THE Challenge Initiative (TCI) in collaboration with the Osun State Ministry of Health on February 14, 2025 celebrated this year’s International Condoms Day.
The event took place at the Osun State Secretariat, Abere, Osogbo, Osun State.
Workers at the Ministry of Health and officials of TCI gave out free condoms to civil servants and residents of the state.

Dr Abusola Oyeyemi from TCI told residents the importance of family planning through the use of condoms and child spacing methods at the occasion.
Mrs Ololade Abatan, the coordinator of the state’s family planning programme, said, “We have to protect ourselves from sexually transmitted diseases, that is why we are distributing condoms to males and females.
“We are also distributing it as part of strategies to prevent unwanted pregnancies.”
Valentine’s Day, also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is marked annually on February 14th as a secular celebration of romance and love in many regions of the world.
