Notorious robber meet untimely death from angry mob in Ondo

A notorious robber simply identified as Emmanuel met his untimely death from angry mob in Ayede Ogbese in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo.

The robber was killed while trying to run away with four motorcycles he snatched from different persons in the area.

He was said to have just been released from prison.

A witness said, “Luck ran against him when his truck used to carry the stolen items broke down around the community.

“The robber known as Emmanuel by name has been convicted before. Ever since he returned from prison, the community has not been at peace.

“We have been looking for him for a long time, before he met his death today.”

Ondo Police spokesman, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, who confirmed the incident, said the police rescued the robber but he died on his way to the hospital.

Ikoro said investigation has commenced into the killing.
