ONDO PDP PRIMARY: Jegede Trounces Decampee From APC, Agboola Ajayi To Emerge Winner

Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) has emerged the winner of the just concluded Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election held at Akure the Ondo State capital on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.

Jegede defeated other aspirants with 888 number of votes.

The Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi who recently decamped from APC to join PDP with 657 votes came second.

1. Mr. Eddy Olafeso – 175
2. Mr. Jegede Eyitayo – 888
3. Mr. Agboola Ajayi – 657
4. Mr. Sola Ebiseni – 29
5. Mr. Banji Okunomo – 90
6. Mr. Bode Ayorinde – 95

7.Senator Kunlere Boluwaji – 33

8. Mr. Erewa Godday – 14

In his preelection election statement, Jegede said, 

“What I am expecting today is victory and success at the end of the day. God helping me, I will fix the infansructures and many other necessary and pressing need of the state to provide comfort to the citizens of Ondo State. I will also ensure that transparency is key and a paramount tool in my government. The local Government administration shall not also be left out but considered as a major priority and beneficiary of my administration”
