The late delivery of West African Examinations Council (WAEC) materials on Wednesday has sparked outrage in Osun State, forcing some candidates to write their exams at night.

This development was reported by Afinju Redio on Facebook, with updates revealing that as of the time of filing this report, no school in Ejigbo and Obokun Local Government Areas had commenced the exam.

According to report, MOLEK Islamic Comprehensive High School, Osogbo, and Osogbo Grammar School began their exams about an hour ago.

The medium wrote,

“Outrage as late arrival of WAEC materials ‘forced’ candidates to write Examination at night.

“As of the time of filing of this report, no school in Ejigbo Local Government and Obokun Local Government have commenced the examination.

“Meanwhile, MOLEK Islamic Comprehensive High School, Osogbo, and Osogbo Grammar School started about an hour ago.

“Parents and Guardians were seen at the entrance of the schools awaiting their wards.”

WAEC officials are yet to respond to inquiries about the incident, while stakeholders have called for an immediate probe into the logistics failures that led to the disruption.
