Oyetola Flags off The Revitalization of Hospitals, Primary Health Centres

The State of Osun Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has flagged off the revitalization of nine hospitals and 332 Primary Health Centres (PHC) to take the health care to the grassroots in the State.

The flagoff took place at Oke-Baale, Osogbo , the state capital of the State of Osun on Tuesday.

Governor Oyetola reiterated the importance of health to the development of the economy. He said the real development comes from the state of health of the people.

“Our administration has resolved to revitalize nine General Hospitals to comprehensive health centres and 332 Health Centres across the state”

“The revitalization programme is more than designed to make all the 332 Health Centres habitable, medically equipped, efficient facility driven and quality service conscious. Our health facilities will be adequately functional to achieve deliverance and health coverage of the programs of the Federal Government.”

 He went further that emphasis will be placed on the training of health personnel at all levels across the state.

“It was set to correct high incidence of child/maternal mortality, communicable and non-communicable diseases.”

Notable dignitaries present at the flag off are Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, former Deputy Governor, Grace Titi-Laoye Tomori, the APC Chairman in Osun, Prince Gboyega Famodun, traditional rulers, former Commissioners under the last administration, market women and men, APC leaders across the state.
