The choice of Queen Naomi to be the Queen by the King, was a good one. Queen Naomi did not marry the King because she wanted money or fame but was on a mission to change something that cannot be changed.

Despite the good intentions of the Queen, her high expectations were met with a blank face each time, hence making her feel she wasn’t fulfilled anymore.

The Queen had been someone who had been serving the people before she became Olori to Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, as her spiritual gifts attracted many to her and even when she became the Queen, people never stopped coming to her.

It was just that the faces and the structures changed and Olori Naomi was only trying her best to cope, ignoring how difficult things turned to be.

Queen Naomi was trying to bring the palace to the church instead of bringing a church to the palace. The rigid structure, believe and tradition practised in the palace were the major problems the Queen was facing and forgot she was on a battle she could not win.

Without judging the Queen, it would have been better if she was discharging her duty on the sideline, instead of trying to change the existing believe or structures. Building a church or having her own church in the palace would have been a very good decision as she would be having opportunity to meet people of like minds whose believes do not oppose hers.

The tradition practiced in the palace is a wall that cannot and must not be taken down and this seemed not to be popular with the Queen.

Moreover, the Queen was feeling alone and deprived of fully expressing her true self as her spiritual gift is more of expressive rather than being kept mute. The Queen was trying to strike a balance between her aspirations and her duty but thought is was better to walk away instead of taking a step back or go with the flow.

The Queen was feeling alone and now that she left she will still be alone , even the king.

The King, in His Majesty, should should forgive the Queen. Coming back together is a miracle everyone is looking forward to. The Oba was no way wrong, tradition and the existing structures he can not change – they have been in place before he was born.

The King is the best Ooni that has emerged, he took after his forefather, Oduduwa, with his innovative approaches and love for the Yoruba tribe. God called the Queen to be with the Oba ( King). It was this call that opened the door for her. The Queen should retrace her steps and return to the king, although it looks impossible but this is the truth and God’s will.

A thorough reconciliation is needed, Queen’s return will bring back smiles on the faces of all the Yorubas, Long live the King! Long Live Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi !
