An Inspector was brutally killed by gunmen after getting on a commercial tricycle, according to the Lagos Police Command.
The confirmation came on Thursday 25th August 2022 from the Command’s Spokesman. SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
The deceased, who was a member of Mopol 20 in Ikeja, was shot on Wednesday at Coker Aguda in Surulere, Lagos State, he claimed.

After getting in touch with the deceased’s family, he claimed, the identify of the person would be revealed. The command was also working to find and apprehend the murderers.
Hundeyin said that the tricycle driver was taken to a police station for questioning after the incident, and was later released to appear again on Thursday to assist in the investigation.
The Police PRO said that the inspector was guarding a bank but that the incident didn’t happen at his duty post.

“He had left and was going somewhere inside a tricycle. He actually hired the tricycle and was the only passenger. He was attacked, shot, and had his service pistol taken away. It happened in the afternoon, around 3 p.m.
“But he died in the night,” the spokesman said.
