Hiring in Abuja: Deda Hospital Needs a Senior Internal Auditor

• Hospital or healthcare audit experience is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management, and financial and operational auditing
• Experience with HMO processes, inventory, procurement, ERP/EMR or healthcare systems is an advantage
• Excellent analytical, investigative, reporting and communication skills
• High integrity, confidentiality, objectivity and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead internal, financial, operational, inventory and compliance audits
• Evaluate internal controls, financial processes, procurement and operational procedures
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
• Review sales, receipts, inventory, expenditure, HMO billing and insurance claims
• Investigate discrepancies, fraud risks, operational leakages and non-compliance
• Monitor stock reconciliations, procurement activities and vendor transactions
• Prepare audit reports and present findings and recommendations to management
• Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, statutory requirements and healthcare regulations
• Support effective governance, operational efficiency and financial accountability
