The member representing Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, recently paid a courtesy visit to a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Ambassador Otunba Jumoke Ogunkeyede (JMK), at his residence in New York. The visit was aimed at strengthening party unity and strategizing ahead of the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
During their meeting, both leaders deliberated on the political growth and consolidation of the APC in Ijesa North Federal Constituency and Osun State at large.
Hon. Oke emphasized the importance of early preparation, grassroots engagement, and cohesive leadership to ensure the party’s success at all levels in the coming elections.

Hon. Oke used the opportunity to preach unity and love within the party, noting that internal harmony remains a crucial tool for electoral success. He stressed that the APC must stand united and focused to retain power and deliver good governance to the people of Osun State.
The lawmaker assured Ambassador Ogunkeyede that Ijesa North would stand solidly behind the APC and work tirelessly to ensure the party’s victory in the 2026 gubernatorial election. He said the constituency remains committed to supporting the party’s candidate, whoever emerges, and will mobilize massively for victory.
Hon. Oke also reiterated his unflinching support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a visionary leader whose policies are gradually restoring Nigeria’s economic and political stability. He expressed confidence that President Tinubu would continue to receive overwhelming support from the people of Osun, especially in Ijesa North.
“The one million votes target for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Osun still stands,” Hon. Oke declared. “We are committed to delivering our share of that mandate, and Ijesa North remains a stronghold of support for Mr. President and our great party.”
