Recent discussions emerged after a political meeting held at Adeola Odutola Hall in Ijebu-Ode.

APC rejects faction claims in Ogun: “NO FACTION, NO PARALLEL STRUCTURE” – APC

Speaking on Frontline on Eagle 102.5 FM, APC State Publicity Secretary Olufemi Nuberu firmly rejected claims of internal division.
Furthermore, he stressed that the party operates under one clear leadership structure.

“There is no caucus in APC as it is presented in public discussions. We have one party, one structure, and one leadership from the ward level to the state level,” he said.

In addition, Nuberu explained that internal consultations do not equal factionalisation.
Rather, he described them as normal political engagements within a structured system.

PARTY DEFENDS INTERNAL PROCESSES

Meanwhile, the APC dismissed allegations of exclusion at the Ijebu-Ode meeting.
The party noted that no formal complaint reached its leadership regarding any denial of access.

“We cannot act on speculation. Therefore, we rely only on verified complaints submitted through official channels,” Nuberu stated.

Moreover, he urged members to use internal mechanisms for conflict resolution instead of public speculation.

DISCIPLINE AND SUSPENSION STATUS

The party also addressed concerns about suspended members.
Notably, Nuberu clarified that no final disciplinary decision currently exists at the national level.

“Those affected remain under a suspended status until the national leadership concludes its review,” he explained.

In essence, he stressed that suspension does not amount to expulsion.
Therefore, due process must run its full course before any final outcome is announced.

“INFLUENCE IS NOT FACTIONALISM”

During the programme, callers shared mixed views on internal party dynamics.
Some argued that influence appears concentrated among certain actors.

However, others insisted that influence exists in all political systems and does not automatically signal division.

“Influence exists in every political party. Nevertheless, it must operate within one constitutional structure,” Nuberu said.

APC REAFFIRMS UNITY AHEAD OF 2026

Ultimately, the APC insists it remains stable and united as the 2026 elections approach.
Meanwhile, the party says it continues to manage internal differences through established procedures.

The party urged members and the public to rely on verified information rather than speculation.
Consequently, it reaffirmed its commitment to unity, discipline, and constitutional order.

“The APC in Ogun State remains one indivisible entity committed to internal stability and democratic principles,” Nuberu concluded.
