Eight Persons arrested with fresh human head in Osun

A man identified  as Afolabi Jacob was on Wednesday arrested by members of a religious vigilante group with a human head in Iwo, Osun State.

Afolabi was apprehended by the Taawun Security, Al-Jayshu Islam on Wednesday while conducting a routine security patrol around the Yemoja area of the town.

In a statement released by the Jamaatu Taawunil Muslimeen and made available to newsmen, Afolabi Jacob revealed that the human head in his possession was for sale to a colleague of his.

Jamaatu Taawunil Muslimeen also added that while conducting the security search, eight group members of Afolabi’s group were also arrested and handed to the Osun State Police Command, Osogbo.

The vigilante group said the suspects had also revealed that they have before now, involved in the criminal activities.

The spokesperson of the police in the state, Yemisi Opalola, while confirming the incident, said the suspects have been sent to the state police command.

She added that the anti-kidnapping unit of the command has been informed about the incident and they have started investigation into the matter.
