MRS. Ahmed urged every couple to visit health facilities in their area for family planning in order to have peaceful and happy family, otherwise, according to her, if couples bear children without planning, the children will become nuisance to the parents and the society in the nearest future.
The Client made the statement, on Thursday, April 18, 2024 when the Osun Media Advocates went on a sensitization visits to Asubiaro and Oke-Bale health facilities in Osogbo, the Osun State capital in a program sponsored by two non-profit organizations, DEVCOMS and The Challenge Initiative, TCI.
The group seek to create awareness on the benefits of Family Planning to father, mother and children to live a healthy living.
Mrs. Ahmed who was a first timer said she decided to opt for Family Planning to prevent unplanned pregnancy that will result into unplanned children, she decided to nip the challenge in the bud to prevent her falling into embarrassing position.
She added that she believes in child spacing and did not believe in unconfirmed taboos that some women develops some negative symptoms during their menstrual periods.
Another client, Mrs Oladimeji who has had two children before coming for Family Planning said she used the arm implant with irregular menstrual periods initially but when lodged complaints at the health facility she was given tablets that regulates her monthly periods.
She encourage all women to prevail on their husbands for family planning because according to her, the adage of “if you fail to plan you will plan to fail” will come to pass at the latter years of their lives that could be disastrous.
She advised couples to opt for family planning so that their children will not become slaves to their colleagues and mates in the nearest future.
