In a deeply reflective and remorseful statement, Kayode Olaifa has expressed sincere regret over a recent controversy stemming from his comments about Hon. Wole Oke. Olaifa officially apologized for a statement in which he claimed to have been promoted by Hon. Oke as one of his media aides, a claim that has since been proven inaccurate and has caused considerable misunderstanding.

Olaifa clarified that at no point was he appointed as a media aide by Hon. Wole Oke, nor was he coerced to join the APC alongside him.

He emphasised that Hon. Wole Oke remains a respected benefactor, leader, and father figure in his life, acknowledging the significant role Oke played in transforming his life and guiding him towards progress and prosperity.

In his letter, Olaifa wrote, “Hon. Wole Oke remains my benefactor, a leader and a father figure. I will forever be grateful unto him in transforming my life and setting my future on the path of progress and prosperity.”

He appealed earnestly, “Please kindly accept my decision as a mistake made by a novice that I am. I plead that you create a space in my heart to forgive me wholeheartedly.”

 

Olaifa’s apology reflects a pensive tone of humility and respect, underscoring his deep remorse for any damage caused to Hon. Oke’s reputation. He concluded his letter with gratitude, saying, “Thanks so much for who you are to me, thanks for your support always, and thank you so much for nurturing me to where I am today. I am very, very sorry, sir.”

 

This public apology serves as a testament to Olaifa’s acknowledgement of his error and his desire to correct the erroneous impression his earlier release must have created in the public.

“A Sincere Apology from the Depth of my Heart.

I write to officially apologise to @⁨HON WOLE OKE⁩ over the statement credited to me about my allegiance to the PDP and the state government in which I made a statement that I once promoted him as one of his media aides.

The statement has generated a lot of controversies, denting the image of a reputable Honourable in person of Hon. Wole Oke.

At no point did Hon. Wole Oke appoint me as his media aide, and he didn’t coerce me to join him in the APC, rather.
