Pastor Slumps Shortly After Decamping From PDP To Join APC In Edo

Tragedy struck in Edo State when a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Pastor Aimola John slumped and died shortly after he decamped to the All Progressives Party (APC) along with Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Aimola was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital he was rushed to.

He had left the APC in 2015 alongside Pastor Ize-Iyamu and was among former PDP members that were returning home to the APC at the residence of Ize-Iyamu where he slumped.

He was said to have been a former chairmanship candidate for Owan East Local Government Area.

Tributes have been poured in for him on the social media where he was hailed as a true loyal party man.

A former Secretary of Owan East, Mr. Godwin Imoudu, who confirmed his death said late Aimola was in Benin to defect to the APC.
